kanye west, zach galifiankis and will oldham

My love for all things Zach Galifianakis has recently returned - largely due to watching The Hangover. Now I could post a load of youtube videos highlighting how beautifully artful and free his comedy is, but instead I'll just post the video he made for Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" (how had I forgotten about this?).
Apparently, he made it on the condition that he could do whatever he wanted and that Kanye wouldn't see it until after it had been edited. As a result it's brilliant - and features a hilariously bizarre appearance from Will Oldham (Bonnie "Prince" Billy).

I'm not a massive fan of TV but there are a few worthwhile shows out there. This is one of them. The gang behind it may never top seasons 1 and 2 but the show has gone from a cult following to a mainstream audience on American TV without selling its soul.
It is without a doubt the riskiest comedy show on American TV which, whilst not saying much, does win it some points. Fans of Peep Show and the like will appreciate this: a classless and frank discussion of the mechanics of male homosexuality.

glenn wool

So I was checking today to see if Glenn Wool had returned from LA in the hope that he was doing shows in London again. Alas, he hasn't so I had to go and find this video. He starts off a little slow but once he hits the 4 minute mark he's absolutely on fire.
This guy is very funny indeed.

With last years resurgence of Saturday Night Live and the release of The Lonely Island's comedy album "Incredibad" I was reminded of where it all began. Tracks like the Justin Timberlake featuring "Dick In A Box", "On A Boat" (with T-Pain), and "Jizz In My Pants" all accurately lampoon the genres that they are based on and have unusually high prodoction values for such throwaway gags. However, my favourite, and the one that kicked it all off is "Lazy Sunday". It's a little more subtle than the songs mentioned and the juxtaposition of middle-class movie going and slamming Beastie Boys-style hip-hop will get me every time!
And just for kicks here's the TV version of "Natalie's Rap" (believe it or not I think it's funnier than unedited one).
